Rachel has been a key volunteer since Creatful’s conception, helping to shape events and bringing new ideas and advice to the table. Rachel has stood by Creatful with unwavering dedication and loyalty over the years, and she continues to support our Creatful Stakes group every single week. Her kindness and non-judgemental approach create a space where people feel safe, seen and free to explore their creativity. She has a gift for helping others build confidence while simply being herself.

Beyond Creatful, Rachel also volunteers with Rowans, helping families transform the clothing of loved ones into cherished keepsakes – a beautiful act of compassion and care.

How did Rachel’s journey with Creatful begin?

‘I’ve always been quite artsy and doing things at home and I saw Creatful advertised and I thought I’ll go along and see if I like it, and never looked back because Nancy is so welcoming and it’s just a lovely band of people who just all like helping each other, so yes I must have fell into it really and never looked back because I love it.’

Rachel, what skills do you bring to Creatful?

‘I do a lot of sewing, I’m quite creative and like helping other people. There are a few in groups who are less able, but we will help everyone, everyone helps each other so there’s always someone who’s got a skill they’re willing to share.’

What does Creatful mean to you?

‘It’s a community, and a way of highlighting what everyone can do and it just has a good mindfulness really. Everyone helps each other and we all come up with different ideas.’

‘What I cherish the most is the bonds we all have, just the relationships within our community are so special’.

Thank You Rachel

Rachel has, and continues to be a vital part of Creatful, and we can’t wait to continue building on everything we have been working on. Thank you Rachel for everything you do and everything you are!
