What will we do with this amazing investment

Last month (September 2026) we were given 3 year’s of funding from the NLCF – this allows us reach more women, more effectively, in our mission to reignite the creative spirit for those who felt that part of them has been lost to the trials of life. With this support we can now host our weekly group sessions free of charge for participants and it brings the financial security that allows us to focus more of our efforts towards improving our services & events along with helping people by providing our group sessions which are safe spaces for women from many walks of life to get together and build confidence in themselves. Over the last year we have helped hundred of attendees in this way and with this new match fund from the NLCF we know that our fundraising can go that much further to letting us grow that number.

Nancy (Our founding director) outlines it perfectly by saying “We are deeply grateful to National lottery players and The National Lottery Community Fund who have recognized the importance of women’s wellbeing in our community. This significant investment means we can continue offering consistent, trauma‑informed support to women who rely on these spaces for connection, confidence and calm. This is a match fund, so we still have lots of fundraising to do and continue to look for volunteers and supporters in our community.”

Lastly we would like to say another big thank you to our project partners and other supporters who have provided help in our journey of empowering women with complex situations who are also not to be forgotten – there would be no Creatful without you wonderful ladies and we hope that these developments will let us grow our sphere of support.

With that I will leave you with this heartwarming message from one of our group members that has shown us our work has been accomplishing exactly what we intended – “Creatful has been a lifeline for me. It’s the one place I feel safe, welcomed and able to breathe. The creativity helps me reconnect with myself, and the women here feel like my people. We were so worried out group would have to close so this is a great relief for us.”

Again a huge thank you to the NLCF and our other supporters for making it so that we can be there for these women.
